Kindergarten Red-shirting
I think most parents have wondered whether to hold their kid back, push them ahead or just to keep them where they are. So what are the benefits and disadvantages to holding your kid back -or "red-shirting" them?? I suppose it really depends on the individual case but speaking on general terms what do the studies say??

My husband was so curious after reading this article that he emailed the author and asked them if they would consider doing an article on kids that are pushed ahead or skip grades. If they get around to it I'll be sure to post the link.
