Circle Skirt

Making a circle skirt was harder than the tutorials told me it was going to be. I browsed several until I figured out exactly what I wanted. I probably referenced this one the most. 

I ended up turning the top of the fabric twice, and adding elastic.  I wanted my skirt long, so that it could be used for dress-up.  My six-year-old is veering away from Princesses and into girls from "the olden days."  She still loves to twirl and dance though, and nothing, NOTHING, is as great to twirl in as a circle skirt.  It just brings my daughter instant happiness when she puts this on and starts whirling around.  This was definitely a successful Christmas present!

If I did it again, I would definitley try the wide elastic, because it is just adorable.  I just wasn't eager to search for the right color, or ready to try dying elastic to match for that matter either.
