Shower for baby boy!

First, I am NOT a photographer!  That said, you can understand why these pictures were taken in the middle of the shower after half the food was eaten (which was when I remembered that I might want to document this for future reference).  35 people attended, so I have to say it was a SUCCESS!

Strawberries!  These were yummy, yummy, yummy!  I cut a little off the bottom of the strawberry so that it would stand.  Then, I cut off the tops (you can go a little farther than that and scoop a little hole out of the middle for the filling) and then just topped them with some cream cheese frosting.  It was so simple, but such a yummy treat.

Dipped oreos.  I am a huge fan of oreo balls, but had never tried just dipping an oreo.  I saw these in my pinterest surfing on several sites, and they looked so fun!

M&M pretzel bites.  Another hit, and so easy to make!!  I think these are my new favorite snack to bring to parties because they are super easy to make, and the perfect combination of sweet and salty.  I made these with rolos (you can use kisses, but I love anything with caramel).  You put the rolo on top of the pretzel, bake for 5 min at 350, take out after barely melted, and top with M&M.  My two-year-old cries everytime I scroll past this picture.  He really, really liked these.

I can't take credit for these divine cupcakes.  My friend made these yummy cookie-dough filled cupcakes.  I could have eaten ten of these (but don't worry, I resisted).

Our beautiful cupcakes arrived late, so here is a picture of the food before the cupcakes made it.  We also served chips with salsa and avocado dip, chocolate chip cookies, veggies, and a bowl of blue covered kisses (cookies n' cream).  Our menu had to be revamped last minute because we had a chocolate fountain that wasn't staying warm, and then we found out about some food allergies... but, all in all, we pulled it off!
I threw the shower with my friend Jamie, and she is the decorating genius here.  I just taped where she said to tape....
Another friend made this adorable banner (navy blue, and lime green).  I couldn't have thrown this shower without the help of several people.
This diaper advice was brilliant.  You write on a diaper, and then the mom-to-be can read it as she changes her baby.  Because honestly, who gets a chance to dig out advice cards once motherhood starts??
Another friend donated, and set up this baby quilt.  I am amazed at the ladies from our church.  They are constantly giving!  And, mostly of their time, which as we all know, is the most expensive commodity these days.
A quick view of our present table.  Loved it!  We wrapped a chalkboard with a sheet, draped gossamer back and forth across the front, and then for the final affect pinned up a dollar store banner.

It's hard to see, but we also hung blue gossamer front the ceiling.  It helped make it feel a little less like a church Relief Society meeting, and more like a party.  And yes, that is a sheet on the present table too, but you wouldn't have known unless I told you.  Why go out and buy a bunch of tablecloths when you can just use a sheet?!  Love it!
Our mother-to-be was spoiled, which of course is the point!  Congrats, Amy!
