"Frozen" Anna Hair

This was my first attempt at Anna's cool hair-do.  Can I just say that I love the artists that did Frozen's animation.  I love hair art, and both Anna and Elsa both sport hair creations to die for!  My version is mediocre, but now that I have figured out a method for to mimic Anna's do, I can work on prettifying it.

First I sectioned off the top so that I could put ponytails on the bottom half of the hair.

I let the top down and divided the hair out that I wanted to make the braid.  I pulled the rest of the hair on top back into a pony-tail.
Then, I french braided STARTING with the the left bottom pony tail (blue).  I took out the holder and braided it around the top (yellow) pony-tail, across the top and until about half-way down the RIGHT side.  Then did a regular braid until I reached the end of the strands.
This is a top view of the french braid.
I gathered all the loose hair BUT a small section around the right side and the bottom of the head into a pony-tail (blue).  Then I took the remaining hair and crossed it over the pony-tail and pinned it close to the the middle on the opposite side (Right then left).

This covered up part of the braid, and made the sides look smooth.

Then I took the remaining hair that was loose underneath and twisted it up and around the blue and yellow pony-tail holders.  This covered them up, and made the middle section look like a small bun.  My daughter has very thin hair, so this would have been a bit easier with medium thickness.
My blue pony-tail holder showed a bit, because of the thin hair, so I covered it up with a pretty bow.
