Amazing Pioneer Story

Ever heard of the Friend magazine?  It's a great resource for kids from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  And if you read it online...it's FREE!! For church, I occasionally get to teach the primary children.  When it's my turn, I've been asked to read stories from the Friend.  If you go the the link above, and click on "other issues" in the left hand column, you will find a three part story called "Faith in Every Footstep."  It's based on the life of Sarah Ann Nelson Peterson (see issues July, August, and September).  It's written by Megan Withers Roxas.  It tells the most compelling story about Sarah's journey of faith, from her conversion in Europe to her journey to the Salt Lake Valley.  For a story adapted to a child's understanding, boy was I hooked!  I had to google to find the rest of her story because I couldn't wait for the next issue to come out.  Well, folks... it's all there now.  And, I highly recommend it!!!
