flecks of gold

Just watched this MM at Stake Conference last weekend.  A good reminder to stop wasting time looking for gold nuggets and enjoy all the flecks of gold around you.  

Elder Kearon, who came to speak to us, shared this video and talked about how we are always waiting for the next best thing to come along.  I'll be happy when...   I'll do this when. . .    ETC.  Stop waiting for the next thing and enjoy the life you have.  It makes me think of motherhood and reminds me of this quote from President Thomas S. Monson, 


"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly."
